The Transition to the EMV Standard for Credit Card Processing

For small businesses, the ability to accept payment by credit card can be a huge convenience and a draw for obtaining new clients. And if you use QuickBooks Online, the integrated invoicing and payment functionality makes receiving payments from clients a breeze.
Starting October 1, there is a change in the way liability may be handled if a card is swiped instead of processed using a chip reader. For a great overview of the changes, please check out this article by Intuit:
